The red berries of the Madrone Tree (Arbutus menziesii) are strung in the fall when fresh and then dried into hard “beads” which make a beautiful necklace that also feels wonderful on the hands.

The fiber for the handmade tassel is extracted from the stalks of Dogbane (Apocynum cannabinum), a premier fiber plant native to North America.
