He was a good friend and mentor who also wrote the foreword to our book Buckskin: The Ancient Art of Braintanning.

Jim passed away in August of 2017 and his daughter Kolle has taken on the challenge of organizing his vast collection into the Jim Riggs Reading Room and Memorial Library.
